Power Smart Excellence Award finalists and recipients do more than save energy. They also create better working environments while improving their environmental, social and economic performance. And, they foster an energy conservation culture that will benefit all British Columbians.

The 2008 Power Smart Excellence Awards Showcase
The awards were presented at the Power Smart Excellence Awards dinner and ceremony at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver on May 15. Award finalists and recipients were recognized in the following categories, as nominated by BC Hydro representatives.

In addition to honouring a distinguished group of finalists in the traditional award categories, this year’s proceedings introduced two new awards. The Workplace Conservation Leadership Award and the Larry Bell Award recognize individuals who have shown leadership in instilling a conservation ethic within their organization.
