 When it comes to Limona Construction Ltd., the term “builder” cuts two ways: builder of high-quality energy-efficient homes, and builder of a more energy-efficient, environmentally responsible construction industry.Currently Limona has two Power Smart single-family developments on Vancouver Island—Turnstone and The Terraces at Thetis Vale—and every home achieved an EnerGuide for New Homes (EGNH) rating of 77 or better, earning a Power Smart Silver designation. Limona reached these levels of energy efficiency by incorporating ENERGY STAR®-labelled windows and appliance packages into their homes. At Turnstone, Limona proved that detached housing can be both efficient and affordable. Equally important, Limona worked with BC Hydro and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources to initiate the EGNH program in B.C. and was the first EGNH builder in the province.
